What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device (computer, tablet or mobile phone) when you visit it. They are widely used to make websites work properly, to remember your preferences between visits, and — with your consent — to understand how you use the site so it can be improved.
This policy explains what cookies Alirene Mykonos (alirenemykonos.com) sets, why each is used, how long it stays on your device, and how you can change your choices at any time. It complements our privacy policy.
Cookies we use
We keep cookies to a minimum. The site does not run any advertising or marketing cookies of its own.

Both items above are kept entirely on your device as LocalStorage entries — they never leave your browser and are not shared with us or with anyone else.
Third-party services
A few features of the site load content or fonts from external providers. These providers may set their own cookies under their own privacy policies.
- Google Fonts — serves the Cormorant Garamond, Inter and Outfit typefaces. Does not set tracking cookies; an IP address is processed for delivery only.
- Google Maps — used on the Location and Contact pages to embed the map of our location. Google may set cookies for map functionality and traffic data.
- Open-Meteo — provides the current weather temperature shown in the footer. No cookies are set; only the request itself reaches their API.
- Reserve Online — when you click Book now or Check availability you are sent to alirenemykonos.reserve-online.net, our reservation partner. Cookies set there are governed by their own policy.
We do not currently use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other advertising network.
Manage your preferences
You are in control of cookies at all times. Use the buttons below to accept, reject (clear all non-essential storage) or reset your choice so the banner appears again the next time you visit.
At browser level
You can also block or delete cookies through your browser's settings — every major browser provides a way to do this. Blocking strictly-necessary items may affect how the site works for you (for example, the language toggle and the cookie banner itself may not remember your choice).
Your GDPR rights
Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation 2016/679) and Greek data-protection law, you have the right to:
- Be informed about what personal data we hold and how we use it.
- Access a copy of that data and ask for any inaccuracies to be corrected.
- Have your data erased (the "right to be forgotten"), where there is no legal reason for us to keep it.
- Restrict or object to the processing of your data.
- Request your data in a portable format and transfer it to another provider.
- Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.
- Lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority — www.dpa.gr — if you believe we have not handled your data correctly.
